Tiny Tots

Welcome to the Tiny Tots Class!

We are delighted to welcome your child to our Tiny Tots class! This is an exciting phase filled with early learning, sensory exploration, and plenty of fun. Your child will enjoy engaging activities, group play, and hands-on experiences in a nurturing environment. Your child’s teacher will be Ms. Leah.

Overview
In the Tiny Tots Class, our focus is on promoting sensory development, encouraging social-emotional growth, and fostering motor skills. Through guided play and exploration, we create an environment where your child can thrive and develop essential early life skills.

In the Tiny Tots Class, your child will learn to:
Explore through Sensory Play: Engaging with different textures, sounds, and colors to stimulate cognitive development.

Communicate Basic Needs: Building early communication skills through simple words, gestures, and baby sign language.

Develop Social-Emotional Bonds: Learning how to interact with peers, express emotions, and form secure attachments with caregivers.

Strengthen Gross and Fine Motor Skills: Crawling, walking, climbing, and grasping objects to enhance physical development.

Participate in Music and Rhythm: Enjoying songs, clapping, and dancing to encourage both cognitive and motor growth.

Explore Early Self-Help Skills: Beginning to eat with a spoon, wash hands, and dress with support, fostering independence.

Morning Arrival

All children must arrive no later than 9:30 a.m. unless prior approval or notice of a medical excuse is given. This ensures your child doesn’t miss out on any learning activities or disrupt the class routine.

Breakfast
Breakfast is served between 8:10 a.m. and 8:40 a.m. Please ensure your child arrives on time to enjoy a healthy meal before the day begins. Children arriving after 8:40 a.m. should have eaten breakfast at home.

Uniform Policy
Uniforms are not mandatory Monday to Fridays for our students ages 0 to 2. We ask that parents just ensure that their child is dressed comfortably and appropriately. Note: No open-toed shoes are allowed for safety reasons.

Class Donations
We appreciate donations to help keep our classroom stocked with essentials. Items like Kleenex, disinfecting wipes, hand sanitizer, Lysol, crayons, and baby wipes are always welcome.

Show and Tell / Book Day
On Fridays, we encourage the children to participate in Show and Tell with a special toy, and on Thursdays, children can bring a book from home for Book Day during circle time.

Pickup/Drop-off Bin
Parents should check their child’s in-box daily for important information, including events, classroom activities, and notices. The in-boxes are located outside below the Sign-in folders.

Thank you, and we look forward to an exciting and enriching school year for your child!
